In response to a campus-wide AT/FP security upgrade, the Visitor Entry Control Center and South Gate House facilitated the mission critical need to manage contractor, vendor, visitor, and tourist access to the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.
This special Government Facility was funded in response to September 11 security concerns. The planning and design incorporated AT/FP standards related to traffic calming, surveillance corridors, roadway remediation, building improvements, parking and site improvements.
