Built in 2016, The Retreat at Sunny Vista offers 66 units: 38 comfortable, private Assisted Living areas including one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments that feature spacious, flexible floor plans for easy accessibility and safety and 28 units in the Memory Care neighborhood). The memory support community is strategically designed to provide appropriate boundaries and stimulating opportunities that improve the life of older adults. Fully supported, Memory Care residents can experience an improved sense of self-esteem and well-being each day.
Utilizing the classic “mid-century modern” theme, LB/A Interior Designers provided an updated interpretation of this style and tempered the design with functions and features from the hospitality industry. The Retreat’s fresh, contemporary design creates a warm and welcoming home for older adults to enjoy life in their own terms.
The style, image, and quality of the environment are more important than ever before in Senior Living Communities. Residents are encouraged by a design that is ageless and that relates to their neighborhood and lifestyle. This Colorado Springs Assisted Living and Memory Care community has numerous light-filled and beautiful community spaces, including multiple dining venues, sun rooms, community life gathering spaces, outdoor patios, and walking paths throughout the community.
The classic housing image and details of the design were established in order to provide a non-medical, familiar residential persona for the project and to reinforce the character and image of home and family. Amenity spaces within the building were also designed to invite family members into the community and into daily life activities and lifestyle of residents. LB/A also provided both the interior and architectural design for The Retreat, an extension of Sunny Vista Living Center’s Skilled Nursing Community.
