The program for The Davis Community’s expansion originated based on input from feasibility studies, the community’s desire for outreach, the geometry of the site, and input on best practices. The concept that emerged was to create a vibrant hub, featuring a world-class community and wellness center called The Promenade, and Independent Living spaces, including 32 cottages and this 141-unit apartment building known as “The Residences.”
With four stories, 141 units, and 11 different one- and two-bedroom options, each apartment within The Residences has an open floor plan, spacious main rooms, and a patio or balcony. The units have top-quality appliances, flooring, and finishes, and feature modern kitchens with space for multiple chefs. Maintenance-free and comfortable, The Residences are located in a prominent location within the community and house a variety of amenities including Cascade (dining space with multiple public and private dining rooms), The Cocktail Club, an art room, a club room, a theater, multiple common room spaces for gathering and/or relaxation, and large, public courtyards and patios.
Expansive outdoor green spaces for walking and activities were also essential. The landscaping created spaces for pickleball courts, bocce ball, a dog park, a putting green, a walking path that connects and wraps around the campus, and an amphitheater-style courtyard with a stage for concerts and other events.
