Subtle techniques for achieving the design goals include strategic color selections and patterns that foster wayfinding, an abundance of low energy lighting as well as strategically placed finished materials. Local artwork was utilized for linkage to the local community. Universal design standards were also utilized to optimize furniture placement for easy maneuverability by residents.
